Math Relay Station Explanation

Note: Date Change! No longer the first Friday in June!
Thursday, June 9th, 2011!

We had to move the date due to state testing windows and conferences in our district,
so tell everyone to mark their calendars early for the 2011 Math Relay!

Start by going THROUGH the
HOOLA HOOP


Ten "Clap" Jacks
Hands MUST touch above the head
and then touch hips to count


Each team will be comprised of twenty students (10 boys and 10 girls).
  

Ten Math Facts Table:
When at the Ten Math Facts Table,
Every Math fact attempted incorrectly will result in one penalty push-up*.

Students MUST STAND UP and ATTEMPT the math fact before taking the
penalty push-up not in-place of.


  
Ten jump ropes


It does not make any difference what grade level the team members are in, as long as they are all in the
4th, 5th, or 6th grade, or any combination of these grades.
  

Two hurdles


Run around the end cone

Some schools may choose to send only teams comprised of one particular grade level,
while others may send teams of multi-grade students.
